Dear Friends:
Over two thousand years ago, the high priest entered the holy of holies and prayed for a year of blessing, a year of abundance, a year of happy life, a year of trading and merchandise, a year of blessing our going out and our coming in, a year of mercy, a year of peace and tranquility, a year of bringing rejoicing to our land, a year in which our people would not need support from each other or from another people. And for those who live in Sharon that their houses should not become their graves.
In our eighteenth year as an Aitz Hayim community, we hope to live Jewishly to the fullest. We warmly welcome our two new Rabbis Julie Pelc Adler and Lizzi Heydemann. We excitedly anticipate meaningful and insightful High Holidays with Rabbi Irwin Kula, Grammy award musician Howard Levy, and the pillar of our community, Cantor David Landau. We will study with Steven Katz, Donniel Hartman, Ed Feinstein and others.
We will celebrate a number of B’Nai Mitzvot. And we will continue to make joining the adult community as individually appropriate as the diverse range of our community and its needs.
We also plan to engage more people in bringing the insights and spirit of Aitz Hayim to the greater Jewish community.
We hope you will be with us for 5772.
